Hi everyone and welcome to our how-to video on using the Email Campaign Designer in WhiteCup CRM.
I'm here in the Marketing module using the Templates option from the menu.
On the left-side pane, we have our Email Campaign Designer option.
Clicking there allows us to choose how we want to create a template, either using the Custom option, which we’ll use today, or by generating a starting point with AI based on a description that you provide.
After selecting the custom template option, we can scroll down to the main editing section.
These email templates can later be used in campaigns or when sending emails directly from CRM records such as contacts.
One best practice is to enable the View Content option. Turning this on provides a framework or grid layout that makes it easier to visualize where components are being placed.
Using the Add option in the right-side pane, we can build the layout and add content using drag-and-drop blocks.
Starting with layouts, we can drag in the sections we want to use. A green line will appear to indicate where the layout block will be placed.
You can add several layout blocks at once or build the email section by section as you go.
Next, using the Add icon again, we can insert different types of content blocks into the layout.
These content blocks are also drag and drop. For example, we can add an image block across the top and either select an existing image or upload a new one.
We can then add text blocks, such as a header or title, and enter whatever content is needed.
After adding content, we can use the paintbrush icon to edit design elements such as fonts, colors, and styles.
For images, we may want to add borders using the Decoration section or add spacing and padding through the Dimensions section.
For text elements, we can use the Typography section to adjust font size and other formatting options.
We can continue building the email by dragging and dropping additional content blocks from the right-side panel.
One of the most commonly used blocks is the Record Attribute block.
When adding a Record Attribute, we can select which CRM attribute should populate dynamically based on the contact receiving the email.
You can also manually insert attributes using curly bracket syntax. A full list of available attributes can be found in the knowledge articles on our support site.
Continue adding layouts, content blocks, and other elements as needed to complete the email design.
When you’re ready, you can toggle off the grid lines using the view option and preview the email before saving it.
Finally, enter the required information at the top and select Create to save the template for use in campaigns and direct emails.
Please give this a try, check out our additional online resources, and feel free to reach out with any questions. Thank you for watching.
