Add Images as Links in Email Templates (How-to Video)

Hi everyone. We're here for a quick how to on adding images as links in an email template.

I've started the email campaign designer for an example here.

So we'll just scroll on down and I've already added my layout block for where I want to put my image or link.

So then there's two main ways to do this.

You can either use the layer option here once you've add in your elements, and those elements will be the link block.

So you can drag that over and then also drag over your image.

And the two options is to either drop your image block directly on the word link, or if that's a little bit tricky because it needs to be dropped directly into that cell of the link, you can just drop the image below that link block and then use that layers option to create the hierarchy that's needed.

So I'll do one of each.

First, we'll drag that image onto the word link so I can see just behind my image block that I'm about to drop.

The word link is highlighted in orange.

So I know I've got it in in that block where I need it now.

But if that didn't come through, then that's where we can use our layers.

So I'll do my right side sail without dropping it in the right spot.

So we bring the link over, bring the image element over, and then once we have those two content blocks added, we would go to our layers option and we'll see that the image is not nested under the link because I didn't drop it right on it like I did on the left side.

So that's where we would move it using this drag and drop here to then nest it under the link.

So once we have the image under the link like this, then we have it nested as needed.

And then we can remove the word link from either option.

If you do the drag and drop in the specific spot or if you edit from the layers, either way you can remove the word link.

And then with your link selected, either from the layers box or from selecting in that precise location, you'll go to your settings gear and then add the HRF or whatever link that image should link to such as your website.

So you could just input your website address or it could be a mail to link if that was what the goal was for that image.

And either way with that HRF included you can see my mouse is now the hand icon because it's gonna be a link.

And then as needed, you could use your preview.

You can again see that icon is letting me know that is a link and that'd be ready to go.

So I could just finish up my editing.

And then once I send that out, my right side image would be a link.

And of course I could update the left side if I wanted to either click in that specific location or go into the layer to find that link.

Click my link there, click the link.

And once we apply the href, then that left side image would also be a link if we wanted to set that up.
