Use Relationship Widget (How-to Video)

Hi everyone and welcome to our quick how-to video on using the Relationships widget on WhiteCup CRM records.

Here we are in one of our accounts looking at our Bill To account. In this view we have our Relationships widget, which shows the different record types that are related or attached to this record.

If you don't already have that widget, or if you'd prefer to use a widget that shows a focused view on just individual record types—such as related Ship To Customers or other related records—you can go to the top right column and expand it to access the Add Widget option.

From there, you can select from the different related record widgets, such as Related Contacts.

This will add a specific widget that displays only the contacts related to the record you’re currently viewing. The widget will appear at the bottom of the page, and you can move it as needed so you can easily see those related contacts.

From the Relationships widget or any of the other related record widgets, you can use the plus sign to relate or associate another record to the one you’re currently viewing.

You can search for an existing contact or other linked record type depending on what you have selected. The system will search CRM for any matching records that already exist, and you can create a new relationship from there to attach that record.

Alternatively, you can use the plus sign to create a brand new record. This will open the form for that specific link type, where you can enter the details and use the green Create button to create the new record while also attaching it as a related record to the one you’re currently in.
