Copying Reports from prior MITS BI Environments into White Cup BI

Introduction

The below procedure provides step-by-step instructions on how to port over reports from a 2019 (or earlier) MITS BI environment into a MITS BI 2020 environment.

To Copy a MITS Discover Report into White Cup BI

1. Login to the older MITS BI environment.
2. Select the Reports The list of reports displays.
3. Locate the report you wish to copy into the White Cup BI environment.
4. Run the report. The report results display on the screen.
5. Select the Options dropdown and click Edit MQL. The MQL box appears on the screen.
6. Highlight and copy the text within the box. Paste it into a notepad or temporary word document.
7. Navigate to your White Cup BI environment.
8. Select the Reports
9. Select the Plus button and click the Report option in the drop down list.
10. Select Custom.                                               
11. Select any Hypercube from the dropdown.                               
12. Select OK. The empty report is created.
13. Select the Options (Gear) dropdown and click Edit MQL. The MQL box appears on the screen.
14. Paste the MQL text you copied previously into the MQL text box.
15. Select Execute. The report results generate.                        
16. Select Save. The Save Report window appears on the screen.
17. Select the Library you wish to save the report and enter in all remaining information.
18. Select Save. You can repeat this process for all reports you wish to copy into White Cup BI.
