U.S. Bank Credit Application
U.S. Bank Credit Application Overview
Compass has created an integration with U.S. Bank to easily submit your customer’s U.S. Bank Credit Application from the Opportunities tab in the Accounts screen.
U.S. Bank Credit Application Admin Set-Up
In the Administration Menu under the Control Panel, go to the Third Party Tools tab, then to the U.S. Bank tab.
Enter your web service User ID and Password (you will receive this information from U.S. Bank).
You can also add the default contacts to receive the pop-up when an application has a decision by choosing up to 2 people other than the user that submitted the application using the default contacts. If no other people are chosen, then the only person who can see the credit decision is the person that submitted the credit application.
Then use the green plus sign to enter Dealer/Client information, clicking the Save Changes button when complete.
In Manage Users you will also want to choose the users that you want to see the rate factor and monthly payment without tax fields and what users have access to submit credit applications in Sherpa. By checking these boxes, the user will see rate factor decision information and have access to submit a Credit Application.
Completing and Submitting the Application
In the Accounts area of Sherpa under the Opportunities tab, you will see a drop-down tab for Financial Institutions. Click on this tab, then select Submit Credit Application from the menu.
Next, you will be given a grid from which you can select one or more Opportunities to include in the application. Select each item(s) with a checkbox, then select the Credit Application button.
To fill out the Credit Application:
- Red fields are REQUIRED
- Will auto-populate some fields from the Opportunity
- You will be notified of any validation issues when you attempt to submit the application
- When you enter City, State and Postal Code, please make sure they are valid and match the Opportunity. The U.S. Bank system checks these, and will go into holding at U.S. Bank until it is checked and approved, which will delay the approval process.
To Submit the Credit Application, select the “Submit Credit Application” button. You will receive a message on whether the submission was successful or not.
Viewing in Sherpa
You have the option to add additional columns to the Opportunities tab, to show information related to the Credit Application:
Once a Decision is Made
Sherpa will display a pop-up where decisions can be viewed and dismissed.
Checking the Application Status
In Opportunities tab you can choose Check Credit Decision to view the decision at any time for the individual opportunity.
You can also go the Modules area and use the U.S. Bank Credit Decision option to view all credit decisions regardless of the account you are on.
The only person who can see the credit decision is the person that submitted the credit application.
