Executive Portal
Executive Portal Overview:
The Executive Portal is a tool for Executives / Mangers on Sherpa Trek 4.0 or higher. This tool is designed for Executives and Managers who may not have a full understanding of Sherpa to be able to run reports and look up sales information without an in-depth knowledge of Sherpa. This is a web application that can be accessed using the following URL sherpaexec.net
Please note, if SherpaGo API is not installed we will need to install it on your server. Also, a Team structure with users will need to be set up in Manage Users and Benchmarking to have the full functionality. If they don’t have the Admin security level when adding them in Sherpa, once they are added (even un-authorized users) they will need to be set as Team Leader in order to view their Teams in the Executive Portal.
Set-Up / Installation:
The Compass Support Team will have to initially set up a user in the Portal, but after that the Administrator can set up other users.
To log in, go to the website and enter your email and assigned password.
Once logged in, you can log out by using the Log out button on the top right of the page.
You will then want to set up your users in the Admin Center Control Panel:
To add a new user, click the New Button, or Edit button to edit.
You will be brought to this screen where you can add the user information.
Note: A user must be set up as a user in Sherpa and it will go by Sherpa Username in Executive portal. This is how you give them rights to see certain things (are they an admin and see all? Are they a regional manager and see only the regions assigned to them? etc.) All users (even un-authorized users in Sherpa) can use Executive portal if they are setup by the Executive Portal admin.
When editing a user, you can type in a new password in the password field (even though it all looks encrypted). Highlight the current password and delete, then type in the new password you want and save. The password will then be updated for that user for next time they login.
Marking them as “Active” will allow them to log into the Portal. Marking them as “Is Admin” will allow that user to log in and access the Admin Center and Alert Center (See below). Once you make the changes click the Update button to add / Update the user, or Cancel to cancel and exit.
In this area you can also choose to show the User Graphs and information by either Revenue (default) or Gross Profit:
You can also set up alerts in the Alert Center. The alert will go to the user logged in to the Executive Portal.
To create a new Alert, click the Create New Alert button and you will be able to choose the alert you want to set up.
You can choose Activity Type which will allow you to create alerts on a specific activity type for specific users:
You can choose Activity Benchmarks which will allow you to select users, choose if you want the alert to trigger if either above or below the assigned Benchmark set in Sherpa, and enter a percentage.
You can also choose Sales which will allow you to set the alert based on an Opportunity Status (forecasted, closed or lost), if a user’s forecast or closed sales are over a specific dollar amount based on the day of the month, or if quotas are above or below based on the day of the month as well as enter the day of the month you want to be alerted.

When you enter the Alert Center you will see the alerts that are currently set up and edit them using the Edit button or Delete using the Delete button. When Editing you can also inactivate the alert without deleting it by unchecking the Active button.
Sales Center:
The Sales Center consists of two areas; the Closed Sales and Forecasted Sales and you can view for the current month or you can adjust the date to go out as far as a year. It will show oldest to newest in your graph.
Click on the Closed Sales or Forecasted Sales option to show total sales / forecasts. The graphs consist of three options:
- Closed Sales / Forecasted Sales: Total closed Sales for the month.
- Quota to Date: Where your Team is on the current date compared to quota based on the day of the month.
- Monthly Quota: the total monthly quota for the Team.
You can double click on any of the bars to drill down into:
- Team Sales / Forecast (if you are assigned as the Team Lead for more than one Team). If they don’t have the Admin security level when adding them in Sherpa, once they are added (even un-authorized users) they will need to be set as Team Leader in order to view their Teams in the Executive Portal.
- Rep Sales / Forecast to view the information for the Reps in your Team.
- And the actual sales closed / forecasted for a Rep.

Or to save the chart view use the Save as Default to view it in that level for next time you log in
Activity Center:
The Activity Center is very similar to the functionality of the Sales Center except it shows the totals for completed activities (based off benchmarks) instead of sales totals.
Click on the Completed Activity option to show total completed activities by activity type. The graphs consist of three options:
- Completed Activities: Total closed activities for the month based off the benchmark.
- Quota to Date: Where your Team is on the current date compared to quota based on the day of the month.
- Monthly Quota: the total monthly quota for the Team for that activity type.
You can double click on any of the bars to drill down into:
- Team Activities based on activity type.
- Completed activities for your Team based on the activity type.
- Individual Users on that team.
- And the actual activities for a Rep.
