System Lists - Lease & PPT Rates
In System lists, you will find your backend Tables for your Lease Rates and Property Tax Rates. To get to System Lists, go to “System Lists” on the Main Menu Bar and Select the Lease & PPT Rates option.
Lease Rates: Make sure the Lease Rates option is selected to view your lease rates.
Column Headings:
Company: The name of the leasing Company.
Lease Option: The type of lease option, for example, FMV, Dollar Out, etc.
Months: The duration of the lease.
Lease Low: The minimum net sale amount to qualify for a lease rate.
Lease High: The maximum net sale amount to qualify for a lease rate.
Dealer Rate: If your dealership has a different rate internally than what is extended out to the Sales Reps in the Financials tab, you would put your Dealer Rate here.
Lease Admin Fee: If you have a monthly Lease Admin Fee, you can have it automatically added to the monthly payment by entering it here. This amount does not get included in the revenue or GP credit amount. If your Leasing Provider charges a one-time, upfront fee, do not add it here, as it will be added each month to the payment.
Rate: The lease rate used to calculate the deal.
Security: The number of down payments required. This is usually a number, such as 0, 1 or 2.
Region: For companies with multiple regions, this column allows you to assign various lease pricing to different regions. Users would then see the lease rates assigned to their region.
The Basics: Lease rates are usually applicable to different price bands. Compass is programmed to pick the correct lease rate according to what Option, Company, and Lease Duration the user selects when doing a proposal. These price bands must be entered for each Option, Company, and Lease Duration period. This means that there will be multiple lines for one lease option.
To Edit: To edit any of the information already entered in, simply place your cursor in the appropriate field and make the necessary change. All changes are automatically saved as soon as you click out of the field. You do not need to press anything special to “Save” the changes you made. Please pay attention to the Lows, Highs and Rates when editing, as a typo could be costly.
To Add New: Select the Add New button on the upper right of the screen and the following screen will appear. Enter in the Option, Company, Months, the first Low and High, the rate, a security amount if applicable, the region it applies to and then select Submit. If the rate being added is like one already in the system, select the existing rate from the Add from Existing drop down which will populate the information in every field. You can then edit any of the fields before hitting submit
To Delete: To delete a lease rate, check the boxes next to each lease rate you want to delete and choose Delete. You can also use “Check All” or “Uncheck All”
Lease Rate Export / Import:
You can also export your current rates to Excel, make changes and import them back in. Start by clicking on the Export button and choosing the Companies and Regions you want to export and click the Export button.
- An Excel spreadsheet will open with the lease rates and options you chose. You can now make changes in the spreadsheet and save the document. DO NOT edit column A this is a Compass generated ID #and is how the system knows what rates you have made changes to. If you remove this number, you will create duplicates in your lease rate table.
- To add new pricing levels using this feature, leave column A blank and fill in the other fields.
- Once you've made your changes, save the Excel file to your computer.
- To import the pricing back in, click the Import Service Pricing button.
4. Click the Open File button and browse to the saved Excel spreadsheet. The pricing will populate into this form and you can also make additional changes here by clicking in the cell and typing.
- Click the Import Button to import your changes.
Property Tax Rates
Property Tax Rates: To get to Property Tax Rates go to “System Lists” on the Main Menu Bar and Select Lease & PPT Rates. Once inside the table, click on the PPT Tax Table option. The rates entered here will automatically be added to the lease rate when in the Lease Calculator in the Financials tab a County is picked from the PPT Tax County dropdown.
To Add New: Select the Add New button and the following screen will appear. Enter in the County, Rate, and Region as needed and then select Submit.

To Delete: To delete a Property Tax Rate, highlight the line and then right click and select “Delete”. You will be prompted that you are deleting information and to click “OK” if you wish to proceed.
