Sherpa Install Instructions for Windows 10 or Newer
IMPORTANT: Please note you will need to be logged into the computer or server as LOCAL ADMINISTRATOR (not just with local admin privileges) to install Crystal reports runtime.
INSTALL CRYSTAL RUNTIME:
1. Log into Windows as a Local Admin (hint: Local admin is the username).
2. Click on the following link, or cut and paste into an internet browser to download the file:

Important: The install must be launched from the local hard drive. Please do not install across the internet, from a shared network drive, or from a thumbnail drive. You must click and launch the file from the local hard-drive (C:\).
3. Navigate to the folder you saved the CRRuntime to, then double click on CRRuntime_32bit_13_0(1).msi to launch the install. Some browsers will save the file to the downloads folder by default.
4. Click next when prompted to start the installation:
5. Select “I accept the License Agreement”, then next.
6. Click next again, then click finished when prompted.
INSTALL SHERPA
You will be given your own specific install link to a recently created install pack. If you don’t have a recent (within the last 6 months) install pack, email support@whitecupsolutions.com to request, and we’ll create and send you a link to a current install pack.
Important: The install must be launched from the local hard drive. Please do not install across the internet, from a shared network drive, or from a thumbnail drive. You must click and launch the file from the local hard-drive (C:\).
Copy/paste the install link provided from support into a web browser and hit enter. This will download Sherpa to your downloads folder.
Option 1--Install Sherpa where user has full admin privileges and UAC (User Account Control) is turned off. MOST COMMON
1. Locate the SherpaInstall.exe in your downloads folder.
2. Double click on Sherpainstall.exe. You may see a window, "Windows protected your PC". Select, "More Info", then "Run anyway":
3. It will extract some files for installation, wait for it to finish, then click next:
4. Next, you can choose a destination folder, since this user has full permissions, you can leave it default. Select next.
5. Then click Install.
Option 2 – Install for a user who either doesn’t have admin permission or UAC is turned on.
Step 1-3 and 5 are all the same as above, but use this option 4:
4. Choose another destination folder, instead of ‘Program files (x86)’, you’ll want to use ‘Users\Public’
